How we connect and disconnect with each other can reveal profound insights about who we are. I’m passionate about working with people who are exploring their voice and identity, helping them unpack the intricate layers of self, culture, and values shaped by systems that may not have always nurtured us. Together, we’ll navigate the path toward a joyful and empowered sense of self by learning to challenge and reframe the limiting narratives imposed by capitalism and other external forces. Through my diverse experience in non-profits, environmental work, tech startups, and clinical settings, I’ve found valuable insights that I bring into my therapy practice, helping clients find ease in some places and transform areas where they may feel stuck.

In my work with couples, I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy to help partners break free from recurring negative cycles, bringing relief and deeper understanding. I’m especially drawn to couples who feel deeply connected yet continually bump into each other emotionally, often rooted in early life experiences that shape how they relate now. If your relationship feels solid but has been tested by the demands of parenting, life changes, or the unique dynamics within neurodiverse families, I can offer the support needed to rediscover the intimacy and connection you crave.

I bring specialized clinical experience in working with couples facing addictions, with a particular focus on sexual, porn, and cybersex addiction/compulsivity. My practice is centered on helping people at significant life crossroads, from new marriages and family beginnings to divorce and life transitions. I’m here to help you understand yourself in the chaos of life, guiding you toward greater self-awareness and more fulfilling relationships.

I also understand how meaningful it can be to know a bit about your therapist. I come from a large musical family in New England and grew up in the Hudson Valley. I have now settled into living near the beach in North Carolina with my two kids and partner. The beach is healing and the water is magical. My background is richly multicultural—primarily African American, Caucasian, and Japanese—and I am married to someone with a similarly mixed background. This gives me a unique perspective as I explore the deep layers of values with identity, recognizing how diverse family and cultural histories shape our beliefs about connection and communication within relationships.

Beyond the therapy room, I find joy in cooking and travel, passions deeply influenced by the many cultures in my life. Diagnosed with celiac disease as a teen, I am also dedicated to helping others navigate the complexities of chronic illness, autoimmune disease and mental health.

When I’m not holding healing space for others, you can find me exploring new recipes, building sand castles, or spending time at the beach with my partner, children, and chosen family.

In addition to therapy, I’m an active writer, speaker, tech advisor and consultant focused on relationships, identity development, and connection. I am a clinical adviser for PersonaWealth and formerly in-house relationship expert with the couples app Paired. You can read my monthly advice column, Can We Talk?, where I respond to readers’ questions on relationships, self-discovery, and healing.

I am licensed to provide therapy in North Carolina, New York, and Minnesota. I facilitate and provide advising, consulting and coaching for founders, creatives, and tech globally.
