As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have worked in multiple hospitals, residential treatment centers, and community mental health clinics with a focus on children, adolescents, and young adults with mood and anxiety disorders for more than 10 years. I use a combination of insight, humor, and a good dose of reality, as well as a variety of evidence-based practices to highlight client strengths and help promote better understanding and tolerance of stressful thoughts. As a Spoonie myself, I am also here to validate and support you through the physical and emotional aspects of chronic pain.

I love to read and always have books for my clients to borrow when they come see me. As a reader, I like to be up to date on what research is finding most helpful in maneuvering through our thoughts and feelings to live happier. As a therapist, I encourage my clients to set the mood of their story, whether it be with lighting or music, and adjust the plot to make room for comedy, action, and drama. As authors of their own stories, I hope clients feel safe to express their perspectives with me and those around them so we can all end up on the same page.
I am a hearing individual, but started going to sign language camp in the 1st grade. In addition to Psychology, I majored in Deaf Studies at Boston University, immersing myself in the community there and working in multiple schools for the Deaf. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Gallaudet University, where I continued to develop my proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and my passion for providing culturally competent therapy and assessment services within the Deaf community.
If you are still reading, I hope getting a little personal makes deciding if I am the right therapist a little less stressful. I grew up in Dutchess County eating Italian dinners with my extended family every Sunday and celebrated both Christmas and Hanukkah. I married a hometown chef and we enjoy exploring other cultures and cuisines around the world.
